The 7-Day Rite

Threshold crossed: from reading about the work to doing one week of it.

The full 30-day rites ask for a month of proof. This asks for seven days — one action a day, each borrowed from a different rite, so by Sunday you know exactly which threshold is yours. It is free because it is the honest way to find out whether this is for you.

The week

  • Day IThe Mirror. Write down, in one sentence, the thing you are done avoiding. Not five things — one. The conversation, the habit, the number, the apology. Put it somewhere you will see it for the next six days.
  • Day IIThe Vow. Tell one person. Not an announcement — a witness. One message or one conversation: “For the next week I am working on this. Ask me about it on Sunday.” The vow, witnessed, is the threshold.
  • Day IIIThe Proof Action. Do one pre-committed hard thing today, regardless of mood. Choose it the night before. Size does not matter; keeping your word to yourself does.
  • Day IVThe Control Audit. Take one live problem and split it into three columns: control, influence, no control. Take one action in the control column. Release, out loud, one thing in the third.
  • Day VThe Invitation. Name the three men who can tell you the truth without losing access to you. Message one of them today and put a walk, meal, or call in the calendar. Do not wait to feel ready.
  • Day VIThe Repair. Close one open loop. A clean apology, a returned call, a promise made good. Name the behaviour, name the impact, no excuses, no demand for forgiveness.
  • Day VIIThe Review. Write half a page: what you did, what you avoided, what surprised you. Then choose the rite this week pointed at — the domain that argued back hardest is the one that needs a month, not a week.

The rules

Three rules, no exceptions. One action a day — done fully beats planned perfectly. One witness — Day II is not optional; unwitnessed commitments are moods. Written proof — a line a day in a notebook or note app. What you did, not how you felt about it.

Honest note. This page is the whole protocol — bookmark it and start today. Leave your email below and we will also send it to you day by day during the founding pilot, along with an invitation to the first full rite. Nine Rites is not therapy and does not replace professional support.

Your life does not need another insight. It needs a threshold.
